Online backup service

If you have lost your documents, financial spreadsheets, archived e-mails or anything of importance after a computer breaks, you'll know that the pain you go through (not to mention the cost) to recover your data from a dead hard disk can be more than frustrating. Deadlines could be pushed back as you struggle to restore from a copy you made months ago, only to find the file isn't the one you wanted. Or perhaps you've edited a spreadsheet, and all the formulas have stopped working, so you'd need the copy you were using last week, rather than try to rebuild it from scratch. Of course the worst case scenario is your laptop is lost or stolen, leaving you with no possible way of recovering your files.

eyre solutions can provide you with a service to protect your critical data. Using our software and secure, online storage servers, your data is first encrypted using highly secure algorithms to keep it safe. It is then compressed, to make the sending of the data to our servers faster - using less of your valuable time. Finally, the data is copied to our servers while your computer is inactive, so you're not disturbed while working.

By using our service, regular copies of your files are made to our servers, so if anything untoward happens, you can copy them back to your computer (this is called 'restoring'). Our software can keep versions of your files, so if you have a Word document, and make changes, both the new and the old version are retained - you can restore either of them if you require. You can back up laptops, desktops and servers, with storage space from just 100 Mb right up to 200Gb available.

We store your data on our state-of-the-art Windows 2003 servers, dedicated solely for providing our online backup service. We use servers with "mirrored" disks, which means two disks in one server, both with exactly the same data on them. If one of the disks should die (the very issue we address with online backups!!), the other one takes over, and we swap the faulty disk within two hours, so your data is always safely stored. We have a very fast internet connection to the servers, to ensure backups take place quickly, and with the servers available 99.997% of the time, they will always be ready to help you protect your data.
